knightceties | 6 - Ace bugging Julius for food

This memory takes place in a large messy room. The room is circular and seems to be someone's living quarters; there's a kitchen/dining area, a sleeping area, a couple doors. It's dominated by piles of books and papers that seems to centralize around a large writing desk.

Seated at the desk is the same man with long dark hair and glasses as that memory, wearing a rumpled shirt. He's busy writing away while a kid who looks like Ace, still about 10 years old, watches him and fidgets.

Ace: Hey, Julius~, let's eat. I've been hungry since before!?

Julius: What, eat? Didn't you eat two time periods before?

Ace: Wha? What are you saying, Julius, the last time I ate was already over five time periods ago.

Julius: Over five? Is, is that so... Sorry about that.

Ace: Don't get so absorbed in writing some boring stuff that you don't notice that the time has changed! I'll cook, so what should I make? Are there some ingredients I shouldn't use?

Julius: Not giving you enough to eat means I've failed as a guardian. Alright, we'll eat now... how about we cook together?

Julius smiles shyly at Ace and the two of them cook a simple meal together in the room's narrow kitchen.

NOTABLE
+ Same room as the throwing spoons from the ceiling memory.
+ Julius looks exactly like Julius in this memory except he's less grumpy and not wearing a bunch of clock accessories.
+ He is very confused about Julius. They were best friends when Ace is an adult? But Julius is the same age in both those memories? Why does he no longer wish to throw spoons at this suspicious man?????
+ Simultaneously more protective of the Avante kids and also even more hands off... Julius was a hands off guy and Ace turned out fine.
+ I guess he can, like, cook a little now too.
+ And knows about Wonderland's hilarious approach to linear time (It doesn't exist.).
